Research
My research is in numerical analysis and scientific computing. Some of my long-term focus areas are:
- numerical methods for partial differential equations (PDEs) on surfaces,
- simulation of thermonuclear fusion from cavitation,
- parallel computing of PDEs via domain decomposition,
- numerical methods for the time evolution for PDEs,
- numerical methods for interfacial dynamics.
I am also working on exciting new collaborative projects, which target emerging challenges in science and engineering. These projects include:
- methods in scientific machine learning and PDEs,
- numerical methods for weather forecasting, and
- structure preserving discretizations and their applications.
