Opportunities
Incoming graduate student and postdoctoral applications:
I am currently seeking a select group of highly motivated students and postdoctoral researchers interested in pursuing advanced research in scientific computing. Full funding is available for outstanding candidates who demonstrate a strong background and passion for pushing the boundaries of computational mathematics.
My research spans a wide range of topics, including:
- numerical methods for partial differential equations (PDEs) on surfaces,
- simulation of thermonuclear fusion from cavitation,
- parallel computing of PDEs via domain decomposition,
- numerical methods for the time evolution for PDEs,
- numerical methods for interfacial dynamics,
- methods in scientific machine learning and PDEs,
- numerical methods for weather forecasting, and
- structure preserving discretizations and their applications.
If you are interested in pursuing graduate research in applied mathematics at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and aligning your work with my research interests, I encourage you to submit an application to the SFU Applied Mathematics Graduate Program. Be sure to highlight your specific areas of interest and relevant background.
Due to the volume of inquiries, I must focus my time on my current students and ongoing projects. As such, I am only able to respond to well-prepared inquiries from strong candidates who demonstrate a clear understanding of their fit within my research group. If this sounds like you, I welcome your application or email inquiry.
